Activity 6.1.1
National information and awareness campaign on changing the perspective and attitude on gender-based violence and gender equality among pupils students and theachers

This component of the national campaign will take place in high schools and universities in each of the 8 administrative regions of Romania.
Target group: 10.000 pupils, students and teachers
Information sessions will be organized for pupils, students, and teachers, during which the campaign messages will be promoted, in order to raise awareness about the negative consequences of gender stereotypes and to inform about measures to prevent and combat the phenomenon of domestic violence and violence. against women and girls.
4 regional debates will be organized with the participation of representatives of national institutions in the field of public education (educational institutions, universities, school inspectorates, etc.) with the involvement of 4 national experts and ANES representatives, as government promoter of education to promote equal opportunities and treatment between women and men

Activity 6.1.2
National information campaign on gender stereotypes and raising awareness on the perspective of Romanian society on the issue of Roma women

The campaign will address both Roma women, representatives of Roma communities and representatives of local authorities and professionals with responsibilities related to the issue of Roma minority in the 8 administrative-territorial regions of Romania.
Target group: 20.000 people, women from Roma communities, representatives of Roma communities, representatives of local authorities and professionals with responsibilities related to Roma issues.
The national campaign will include
A national media campaign in which spots will be broadcast on the most popular radio and television stations to raise awareness about discrimination against Roma women.
Development of information materials (including in Romani) for Roma women, Roma communities, local authorities and professionals with responsibilities related to Roma issues.
21 seminars organized at county level whose objective will be the presentation and debate of measures to prevent and combat domestic violence and measures to protect Roma women, as well as the new legislative provisions under the Istanbul Convention (issuing the provisional protection order in cases non-violent solutions to resolving interpersonal conflicts, managing divorce cases, preventing violence and discrimination based on gender)
4 regional debates organized in order to raise the awareness of the representatives of public authorities at local and regional level, who are responsible for the administration of community issues, including the prevention and combating of domestic violence, implicitly in the case of Roma women.
